12 ounce can. Pours black equally coal with minimal visible carbonation. Nose is a delightful treat of roasted java and a hint of sweetness. Mouthfeel has a light carbonation and sweetness post swallow. A scrap more torso would run into my approving. Taste is a mix of java, milk sugar, chocolate with a back end hoppiness and dry out finish. Very enjoyable beer reminiscent of Bong'southward Arabicadabra.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is jet black, caput is tan with fine bubbles and presents 1/2 inch thick, some lacing on glass sides with a thing solid meridian.
Smell is light lactose, limited roast, lite java - light aromas only come on with warmth.
Taste is alloy of lactose carbohydrate, light roast, coffee notes, hint of chocolate, dry earthy hops; soft creaminess merely also drying.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, light sweetness and lite softness then drying.
Overall a very well done beer with a lighter, dryer flavour and presence than many oatmeal and/or milk stouts, making for neat drinkability.

My practiced friend and onetime neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a bottle of this beer. It poured an opaque dark with ecru caput tbat is not leaving much lace. The scent had roast and mocha notes. The sense of taste was nicely balanced and easy to beverage with milk chocolate, roast and hints of vanilla. The mouthfeel was lighter in trunk with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into Trillium The Six States glass and allowed to warm.
Fifty: Less than 1F light tan caput, OK retention, leaves a band and most of a cap. Beer is dark brown.
Due south: Dairy carbohydrate and roasted malts. Pretty basic, but certainly decent.
T: Overnice roasty and malty goodness. Basic and uncomplicated, but good. Finish pretty neutral.
F: Moderate to full trunk, squeamish and creamy, little carbonation. Good structure and balance.
O: Nice job here by River Horse, New Bailiwick of jersey's oldest craft brewery.

Very nice milk stout with a lot of creaminess and richness. 1/24/20 "packaged" date printed on the bottle. From a brewery that'due south new to me. Pours a nice dark thick brown color with some off-white mocha head and but some spotty lingering lacing that formed minor rings. Smells very overnice, nice creamy oats with malt, roasted nuts, bread, brown sugar and a trivial milk chocolate. Sense of taste follows the olfactory organ, very well-balanced and nice creaminess. Not overly sugariness. Smoothen, slightly pasty, creamy mouthfeel with but the correct amount of carbonation. Very pleasant going downward. A very enjoyable beer!

Picked-up as a single from Philly'due south Craft Beer in Langhorne PA. Had hoped to stop by the brewery (nearby in NJ), just will have to wait for some other trip to exercise that. ;) Deep brown/black (opaque) in the drinking glass, with a soft tan foam. All malt in the nose (roasted diversity). Taste was at offset chocolate/java roasted, but subtle and with a nice hops bitterness that rounded out the flavor, making it very beverage. Rich, just with a moderate torso. I enjoyed information technology. I'll bet it would exist wonderful on tap.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.
L---Completely opaque, nighttime brown. A big thick, light brown caput fades to a coating. Leaves very nice lacing.
S---Nose is roasty malts, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Mild, but very dainty.
T---Not getting any oatmeal, but that's neither hither nor at that place. Chocolate, dark fruit (plum, prune). Merely a light touch of java, not as much as in the nose, though.
F---Nicely carbonated. Makes it experience lighter than it otherwise would. I actually wish it was a chip thicker/fuller.
O---Excellent beer. I don't know that I'd drink six on a warm summer day, but it's not summertime, so I'll just love it for what it is.

No better fashion to spend a chilly winter afternoon of watching the world's oldest sport than with a fine stout. River Horse's Oatmeal Milk Stout fills the pecker on so many levels— velvety smooth mouthfeel, milk chocolate, grains and coffee in the olfactory organ on on the palate, black as nighttime with a big tawny head, this stout is so good, it could serve equally breakfast eight days a week. Information technology'south but vi.7% ABV, which means you can have more one with your eggs and toast. I used to think Lancaster Milk Stout was the King of the Loma in this mode, but River Horse Oatmeal Milk Stout has dethroned it in my book. Fifty-fifty improve, it'south a Jersey Beer. While we however have some chilly nights coming, do yourself a big favor and warm your cockles with a Milk stout that is a damned fine instance of the style.

River Horse Oatmeal Milk Stout is a delightful way to end my day. It'south dark, sturdy, and has a rich, silky mouthfeel. Starts with a nice, deep tan caput over a very dark body, so dark the lite barely penetrates it. You end upwards with a minor amount of lacing, the caput dissipates very apace. Smells of nighttime sweetness, some caramel and some fruit, which also comes out in the flavors on tasting. Vanilla, chocolate, raisin, perchance a mite plummy, as well. Maybe a little more sweetness than information technology needs to be, but not by much. If I can find this at the beer market again, I will surely drink this once again!

Pours a dark chocolate-brown color, almost black, with khaki colored head. Chocolate, roasted malt, and just a little sweet vanilla-like notes on the olfactory organ; follows onto the palate. Medium to full bodied. Finishes very smooth, with plenty of cocoa and roast.

Solid black colour. Chocolate, malt coffee, and slight grain aroma. It is well counterbalanced, thick yet not as well heavy and the alcohol tin be noticed merely not overpowering. It feels, smells, and tastes like a squeamish stout that is a expert case of this way
